Hot off the press

Yarn Bomb Yukon just went public on Monday and we’ve been super busy ever since.  Our press release is out and the media has been calling.   Dave White at CBC North had Vanessa, Casey (director/curator of YTM) and I in for an interview on Airplay on Tuesday.  If you missed us on the radio, you can check out the podcast here.

We’re being interviewed for the Yukon News today and we’ll have a short article in Yukon North of Ordinary.  We’re thrilled to have local media help spread the word and support the project.

We’ll need help locally, nationally and internationally to create what may be the biggest transportation based yarn bomb ever!   The call for participation is open to every knitter and crocheter in the Territory and beyond. So if you know any crafters who’d like to help out by knitting  a part of the yarn bomb, donating knitting/crochet tools or donating blankets, please pass along our info.  Donations can be dropped off locally or mailed to the Yukon Arts Centre, 300 College Drive, Whitehorse, YT Y1A 5V5.
